The Swine Flu comes to your neighborhood. One out of three are infected and a couple of healthy young people die. But your neighborhood is no exception in this Swine Flu Pandemic. The same thing is happening in every neighborhood in America, and indeed the rest of the world, from Asia and Africa and Europe to the Middle East, Central and South America, Australia and New Zealand. You're afraid to go out and socialize, so you avoid all public gatherings. With so much sickness putting people out of work and shutting businesses plus people not going to market and the malls, the economies of the world collapse and governments fold. The world becomes a more dangerous place where few are able to smile or trust in anyone.
No, this is not a Hollywood movie. It is one scenario that some fearful political leaders and business people have been considering. More and more many experts are believing that the Swine Flu Pandemic is going to be more devastating than a bust. Now they are discussing, not whether the Swine Flu Pandemic will occur, but how bad things are going to get.
Indeed, this will be the first global pandemic since the 1968 Hong Kong flu. Before that it was the 1918 Spanish Flu, a bastard cousin of the H1N1, which killed close to 40 million people. This flu year it is expected that healthy pregnant women and even young people 12 - 21 years old are going to be most susceptible, according to a recent study.
The World Health Organization has just reported 162,230 confirmed cases and 1,154 deaths due to the mild strain of Swine Flu that is currently making its way around the globe. Health officials believe that that number should be a lot higher because most people do not get the Swine Flu lab test when they get sick. The health experts also believe H1N1 will toughen to mass murder killer strength this Fall.
What should a person do to keep healthy this coming flu season? Avoid crowds for a starter. If possible, use online sites to communicate instead of meeting others in person. Use the Internet to shop, or as a source of information. Buy some luck from a legitimate dealer, then wash hands often. Don't touch your face. Dance to Dancing With The Stars in your living room. Put off getting that new boyfriend until next Spring. Don't share water or soda bottles.
And get the flu shot as soon as it is available.
